If you have recently visited a Taubman shopping center in the US, then you might have probably noticed a big change in the Mall. Yes I’m talking about the Movie Mall that has been setup by the 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, to allow the shoppers to have a different type of shopping experience in the virtual “Movie Mall“. People who has a smartphone can engage in this place by installing the Fox Movie Mall app from iTunes Store or Android Market. Using this app, people can scan the QR codes of the products in the display and ‘Stop, Scan and Shop,’ while getting a 50% discount from products.
The idea seems cool but I have one question, instead of holding up the smartphone’s, standing there scanning QR codes, why can’t these people just buy these things online?
