Kim Dotcom Could Get His $200 Millions Back After Police Mistake
Kim Dotcom, the founder and CEO of Megaupload was arrested couple of months ago over copyright infringement. Police raided his mansion in New Zealand to take him to prison, along with his $200 million worth property. Recently Dotcom‘s lawyers managed to bail him out of the prison and now it looks like he might also get his seized property back as the police admits that they have made a “procedural error” while making documents to seize Dotcom’s property.
According to the latest news, the police commissioner Peter Marshall‘s office has made a huge mistake when they made a wrong restraining order to seize Dotcom’s property. Justice Judith Potter will now have to think about whether or not to release Dotcom’s property, while the court papers show Dotcom’s lawyer stating that Kim Dotcom‘s property “must be released” because it was “unlawfully seized and restrained under the order”.
