Weird DIY Electric Car Gets Powered By The Wind [Video]

A geeky farmer in China has been working on a new project for three months to make a weird vehicle. Apparently this has nothing to do with farming. Spending 10,000 yuan (~US$1,585) and three hard-working months of his valuable time, this 55-year-old Chinese farmer has built his own wind-powered electric car.

It’s not clear about the details on how he managed to make this weird-looking car , but he claims that this DIY automobile can travel a total distance of 140km once its fully charged. He is now planning to modify the vehicle with a solar panel to charge up the device with a combined wind and sunlight power.  Despite all that, I’m totally digging the tail on the back. I think he must have made it to look like the Batmobile or something.

Watch the video after the break to see some action of this vehicle. If you can understand Chinese, you might get some info out of the video too.

It may be weird, but it works. Hyundai would do well to learn a few tips from this guy. Hopefully, I’ll see an air-powered car at any of the hyundai dealers in ny soon enough.
