Scientists Develops ‘Bionic Eye’ To Give Sight To The Blind

Scientists and doctors in Oxford have developed a new microchip called ‘bionic eye,’ which they claims to bring sight to the blind people. This group of researchers have implanted this microchip successfully in two blind British men and amazingly these people who have been blind for over decades  have started receiving vision for the first time.

This amazing 3-mm microchip has been implanted behind the  eyes of these men, which gets connected with electrodes. After a giving it a week for activation, they have been able to recognize faces and see many things for the first time in decades.

“Since switching on the device I am able to detect light and distinguish the outlines of certain objects which is an encouraging sign. I have even dreamt in very vivid colour for the first time in 25 years so a part of my brain which had gone to sleep has woken up! I feel this is incredibly promising for future research and I’m happy to be contributing to this legacy.” said, Chris James, who had been blind for more than two decades.

This is something we can’t even describe as a miracles. It gives proof for the fast-developing science and technology that we have today. After reading this, you will never say that we can’t time-travel in few more years.
