After announcing the innovative mobile display panel, LG also revealed that they have officially made over 3 million global LTE smartphone sales with their latest smartphone line-up.
“Reaching the three million milestone this early in LTE’s global roll-out is a strong sign that customers are on board with our LTE strategy,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company. “Improving the user experience is at the core of LG’s vision and we’ll continue to take leadership in the LTE market by offering features that offer clear customer benefits.”
Compared to smartphone sales record from other companies like Apple, this is not such a big deal. But in the LTE smartphone section, this number is actually a huge milestone to reach in a short time. LG‘s new LTE smartphones including LG Optimus LTE and LG Optimus Vu took a big part in this number to help the company achieve this goal. LG is already planning to offer LTE smartphones in 20 other countries by the year’s end, which would definitely make this number double in a short time.
