Nokia Unveils Asha 305, 306 and 311, Promises ‘Smartphone-like Experience’

Today, Nokia officially unveiled their new lineup of the Asha touchscreen mobile phones, Asha 305, Asha 306 and Asha 311. Don’t mix these up as smartphone’s because they are not. But these touch-based phones are designed to offer a smartphone-like experience for an affordable price. All these phones feature a re-designed touch user interface and targets young social consumers.

Asha 305

Asha 305 sports a 3-inch WQVGA resistive touch screen along with Bluetooth and Dual Band connectivity. EA gives 40 games for the customers of the Asha 305 to download and have fun and it also comes with a 2MP camera, Nokia Maps and the new Nokia Browser. Asha 306 will go on sale in the Q2 2012 for EUR 63 (~ $79).

Asha 306

This is slightly a bit improved version of the Asha 305. In addition to the same 3-inch touchscreen display and 40 EA games, Asha 306 comes with WLAN and supports video streaming through GPRS and WLAN. Asha 306 will cost EUR 68 (~ $85) and will go on sale in the Q3 2012.

Asha 311

This is the best phone among these trio. Asha 311 comes with a scratch resistant capacitive glass screen with polarization filters and a colorful design as well as a unique  user interface.  In addition it packs a 3.2-megapixel camera and 15 level pre-bundled version of Angry Birds. Asha 311 starts shipping in Q3 2012 for EUR 92 (~$115).
