Sony HDR-GW77V Waterproof Camcorder Headed To the US

Sony announced their new HDR-GW77V Handycam waterproof camcorder back in May for Japan and now it is officially heading to the US. According to Sony, it will arrive by the end of this month.
The HDR-GW77V is not the kind of camera for the pro’s but it sure does bring some great features to the table. This camera is said to be shockproof for up to 5 feet and waterproof for up to 16 feet. It allows you to take pictures in 20.4 megapixel quality and shoot 1080p video. The 3-inch, 921k touchscreen lets you easily view and browse your work stored in the 16GB of internal flash memory. It’s perfect for capturing great moments of your holidays or vacations and the small pocket-size design will let you easily carry it in your pocket.
Sony $699 will get a price tag of $699 when it arrives in the US.
