Europe’s Biggest Illegal Movie Streaming Website Owner Fined With $4.7 Million
Recently the authorities have managed to shut down one of the major movie-streaming website’s in Europe, Kino.to taking the founder of the site “Dirk B”into custody. Now a German judge have sentenced him for 4.5 years in prison and fined him with a $4.7 million for illegally streaming copyrighted material online. Luckily the punishment has been reduced from 11 years to 4.5 years after his confession.
Things started to get rough after the MegaUpload shut down, which happened earlier this year. Even though people have already forgot about this incident, authorities didn’t. They are still hunting down more and more illegal file sharing websites and from the looks of this, it isn’t gonna be good for the free shoppers.
