Russia Declares War On The Internet, Wants To Censor The Web

The long-time arch enemy of the United States, Russia is now starting to get a little worried and feel threatened about the online freedom as they are now seeking to censor the Internet in to block certain contents from getting in their way.

According to the Russian government, they don’t like when people share opinion about government plans, ’interfering in the internal affairs, or undermining the sovereignty, national security, territorial integrity and public safety of other states, or to divulge information of a sensitive nature’. So, now they are hoping to gain control of this matter by controlling the web.

The US authorities are not going to let it happen that easily. Russian Internet censorship plans will be discussed during the U.N. conference, which is scheduled to happen later this year and this time the US will be teaming up with the Internet freedom fighters to stand against Russia on this matter.
