Google+ Celebrates Its’ First Birthday with New Features and Tablet App
Today Google is celebrating the first birthday of its’ new social network Google+, which was originally launched on June 28th 2011. Within just one year, Google+ has come a long way to achieve 250 million users in its’ network. Ignoring all the criticism that came upon this great new social network, Google kept doing its’ best to make Google+ the best in this business. And I think it’s safe to say that they have already succeeded in becoming the best social network on the web.

Celebrating this big achievement, Google has released a new tablet app for the Google+ mobile users, as well as the new version 3 upgrade for the Android smartphone app, which comes with some pretty sweet tweaks and improvements.
Google+ Tablet app key features -:
- A beautiful stream that styles content based on popularity, type and orientation
- A “lean back” Hangouts experience that’s great for the couch or common room
- Crisper text, fuller photos and easily-tappable actions like +1 and comment
They’ve also introduced a new feature for the Google+ network called, Google+ Events. A new place to check and stay connected with friends, share discussions and pictures more openly and make plans to hang out with friends.
Today’s online event tools are really just web forms that ask, “Are you going?” Worse yet, they bail when you need them the most: during the actual event, and after everyone leaves. In life we plan, we party and we keep in touch. Software should make all of this more awesome, and that’s exactly our aim with Google+ Events.
Google+ still has a long way to go before taking down the biggest social empire, Facebook. But for a one year run, it’s not bad for Google+. Lets see what this amazing and revolutionary network can do in the future.
