How To Edit Google Docs Without an Internet Connection
Google has now released a new update for the Google Docs service, making things possible for users to access and also edit their Google documents and spreadsheets even without an Internet connection.

Offline Google Docs editing doesn’t come with much features, other than “Edit,” “View,” “Format,” and “Table,” menu items. In fact the following key features are not gonna be available in offline editing mode:
- Sharing, downloading, publishing, and printing
- Inserting an image or a drawing
- Research and translation tools
- Docs Help Center, new features list, and reporting an issue
Before start editing Google Docs offline, you have to enable offline access for your computer. In order to do that, click on the gear icon above the Documents List and select ‘Set up Docs offline’ and then follow the instructions on the ”Set up offline viewing of Google Docs” dialog box. After setting up offline access, you can edit or create new Google documents even when you are offline. And the changes will automatically sync whenever you connect to the Internet. Keep in mind that you need the latest versions of Chrome or ChromeOS to edit Docs offline.
