What Are Adwares?

Most PC users always confuses themselves with Adwares and Viruses. Truth is these two things are entirely different from one another. After reading this article you will be able to understand and avoid any adware’s in the future.

Basically, an Adware is a software that feeds advertisements of premium contents via pop-up ads and web browser toolbars, forcing the user to buy products.

Most Adwares can be found all over the Internet. They poses as freeware software’s, which will ask you to upgrade to premium version to enjoy the full benefits of the service. They wont harm your computer but it’s annoying when lots of ads pops up all over your desktop every time you connect to the Internet.  Some adwares can also hijack your browser and redirect your searches to certain pages that contains ads, it’s more like a way of guerilla marketing and it’s more dangerous than normal adware programs because these websites could fool you to give away valuable information and buy useless products.

Protecting yourself from these adwares is also up to you. You have to be careful and observe the sources of these ads before downloading and installing free softwares. Never give out IDs, passwords, credit card numbers and valuable private information for these websites and always be careful when you deal with unknown links in emails and stay away from pop-up ads. Use the pop-up blocker in the browser to stop annoying ads and also use a good Ad-Aware software to protect your computer and they will also help you to get rid of annoying adwares from your computer.
