Microsoft has revealed details about the upcoming Windows 8 Pro upgrade. Surprisingly the cost is only $39.99 and any PC user with Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 will qualify to download an upgrade to Windows 8 Pro version.

Once the new Windows 8 OS goes official, the downloadable upgrade to Windows 8 Pro will be available for users through 131 markets. Any user who buys the upgrade from Windows.com will get a walkthrough support for the installation in Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant. This promotion will be available through January 31^st, 2013 in both online and retail stores. A packaged DVD version of the upgrade will also be available for $69.99 at retail stores during this promotion.
