Weird Pink Colored Lake Retba In Senegal

Nature is something that always amazes are in so many different ways. Doesn’t matter if its a weird-shaped tree or a real-life flying dragon, we always love to see those stuff. Now this story of the pink colored Lake Retba is another story of a weird creation of the mother nature, found in north of the Cap Vert peninsula of Senegal.

Anyone can easily mistake this for a photoshopped image but the truth is its just another weird illusion of the nature, caused by a type of algae named Dunaliella salina. Despite the weird color of the Lake Retiba, people in Senegal still make use of this lake, like to collect salt.

Check out more pics after the break.
