Google Celebrates Amelia Earhart’s 115th Birthday in Beautiful Doodle
Today, the tech giant, Google has replaced their search engine homepage doodle with a stunning artwork featuring American aviator, Amelia Earhart and an image of a Lockheed Vega 5b, to celebrate Earhart’s 115th birthday.

Amelia Mary Earhart born on July 24th, 1897 made herself famous around the world by becoming the first aviatrix to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. After this achievement she wrote few best-selling books describing her experiences.
During the year 1937, she attempted to become the first women to fly solo around the world. She flew a Lockheed Model 10 Electra airplane. But she suddenly disappeared over the central Pacific Ocean on her way from Canada to Ireland. To this day no traces of her or her airplane were found.
