Microsoft’s SkyDrive is unarguably the best cloud storage service available online. Now Microsoft has updated this great service with a new and simplified metro interface and lots of other new features, ahead of the Windows 8 launch in October.

New revamped SkyDrive.com now features a simple and easy to navigate interface much similar to the one that we saw on Outlook.com. It also has a contextual toolbar to make it easier to download stuff, along with instant search, multi-select and a drag-and-drop feature to allow its users to easily manage files and many more new improvements.

This upgrade also comes to the SkyDrive desktop apps for Windows/ Mac. Microsoft also revealed their plans to release a SkyDrive app for Android very soon.
