Sony Cross-Controller Technology Turns Vita Into A PS3 Controller

During the Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, Sony has demoed their new cross controller technology to give a feel of their new revolutionary gaming technology that is planned to debut with the upcoming Little Big Planet 2 video game later this year.

Sony Cross Controller technology basically turns the new PS Vita into a PlayStation 3 controller and lets you control the game with the PS Vita, plus a cool touchscreen controller on your hand. It’s sort of like the new technology on Nintendo’s Wii U Gamepad, but with more awesomeness because unlike Wii U, you can detach the Vita from the PS 3 and play games on its own.

Check out the video for the official Gamescon demo for more info (as seen on CNet TV).
