iPad Mini, Speculation Roundup

A lot of rumors about the Apple’s new iPad Mini tablet has been circling around the web for a while now. Most of them actually ends up as pure garbage when some attention seekers takes this as a opportunity to promote themselves, as always. Which leaves us only few valid information about this new tablet. So, lets take a look at some of the legitimate rumors reported from trustworthy sources.

Most recent rumor was reported from 9To5Mac. Unveiling a mockup of the new iPad Mini tablet they claimed this new device ”will look like a large iPod touch with smaller side bezels” . They say that the iPad Mini will boast a smaller design, compared to other 7-inch tablets like Nexus 7, but with a larger and 4:3 display.

These reports were also confirmed by many other tech analysts including Daring Fireball‘s John Gruber, who has also posted some info about the iPad Mini reporting to feature a 7.85-inch display. He also says that “maybe iPad mini is the wrong name for us to use as a placeholder,” suggesting it could get a different name like “iPad Air”.

Price could go up about $299 for this new Apple device and probably be unveiled at a September 12 event, followed by a launch between October - November. Other than that we still don’t have any info on the inside of iPad Mini device. Guess we will have to wait a while to find out.

So, what do you guys think about the new iPad Mini tablet?  Could it give challenge to other small-sized tablets?
