‘Samsung Pays Apple $1 Billion In Coins’ Hoax Going Viral
Recently, the popular and un-defeated Apple company won a lawsuit over Samsung at the court after battling for their rights over patent infringements. At the end Samsung was asked to pay more than $1 billion US dollars for damages of the Apple company. Samsung is still trying to defend themselves to avoid paying $1 billion to Apple. So, the lawsuit is not officially over yet. But it looks like for some people it’s already over because they are sharing this crazy hoax about Samsung paying $1 billion dollars to Apple in 5 cent coins.

The entire idea of this hoax is so stupid. I can’t believe that someone would fall for some crazy story like this. If you consider the amount of metal it takes to pay that much of money in coins, you will see it is crazy and almost impossible. Most importantly, the judge hasn’t yet ruled Samsung to pay the fine. The Guardian also points out that it would take 2755 trucks to carry that amount of money in coins. $1 billion dollars in 20 billion would weigh 100,000 tonnes.
Despite these obvious facts, people are still believing this story is real and it’s already going viral all over social networks, including the hoax central of the Internet, Facebook. Well, at least now you know the truth. Next time get your facts straight from a verified news source before sharing.
