Nokia has just introduced their latest and first ever Windows Phone 8 smartphones, named Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820. Company claims that the Lumia 920 “captures best pictures and video ever seen on a smartphone”.
Apple is also preparing to introduce their most anticipated next generation iPhone to the world within few weeks. In the meantime the arrival of these Windows Phone 8 devices just brings up a good question among the crowd, ‘Can it take on Apple iPhone?’. Lets find out.
Nokia Lumia 920 is the big brother among these two new Windows Phone 8 devices, as it comes with a stunning 4.5 inch Nokia PureMotion HD+ WXGA IPS LCD display with Super Sensitive touch and powered by 1.5GHz Dual Core Snapdragon S4, 1GB RAM , 32GB mass memory, plus an 8.7-megapixel camera with Nokia PureView advanced optical imaging stabilization and Carl Zeiss optics plus Full 1080p HD video capturing capabilities.
Are these specs enough to beat the iPhone? Hell, yes. They are more than enough. Imagine those high-end specs on a smartphone running on the new and beautiful Windows Phone 8 OS, that’ll be like a dream come true. Also according to the folks over at Pocket-Lint, the Pureview-powered camera on the Lumia 920 is way better than the camera on the iPhone 4S. They have taken a picture of a vase of flowers with no light on it, and it just proves how amazing this camera really is. Check it out –
No argue there. Nokia Lumia 920’s camera is way better than the iPhone 4S. And in some other ways it seems also better than the iPhone 4S. But we will have to wait until the next iPhone arrives before deciding which is better. Although I highly doubt it to be different from previous iPhones, which still looks the same.
Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 will ship out around the world later this year. Pricing and release dates will be announced very soon.
