This Is Why You Failed To Succeed On Google+

Ever since Google has launched the Google+ social network back in last year, it has been getting a lot of critics and negative responses from people around the world. While most social media experts and celebrities become more popular on this new social network, other users began to leave Google+ because it was too boring and complicated. But the the truth is they’ve decided give up too quickly and switch back to being Facebook and Twitter addicts, instead of exploring this great new social experience. Believe me, I know it because the exact same thing happened to me when I first logged in to Google+. It took me a while to realize how amazing Google+ really is.

Google+ is really an amazing social network that you can use to share, learn and have fun in many different ways. Only thing you have to do is think out of the box and adapt to the changes. There are few mistakes people do when they start off with Google+. If you can avoid doing the same mistakes, you can succeed on Google+ too.

You think Google+ is like Facebook

This is the first mistake you do when you come to Google+. You start to compare Google+ features  with Facebook. Google+ is very different from Facebook. Like most of the Google+ experts say, it’s a place that helps to stay in touch with people that you want to know, unlike Facebook that helps you to stay in touch with people that you already know. Google+ is not the place for you to update your status every five minutes and whine about your problems. it’s a place to learn, discuss, share and discover new and valuable things. I see Google+ as a place for smart and social people because the entire social network is filled with intelligent information.

You think it’s complicating

Google+ has a different user interface than those UI’s on Twitter and Facebook. And because of that reason, most people have a hard time figuring out how things work on Google+ because they expect it to be just like on Facebook.  New and updated Google+ has lots of cool features that makes it way better than any other social network and it’s actually pretty easy to figure it out. After messing around for a while, you’ll get the hang of it. Just don’t give up too quick.

You think it’s too boring

This happens when you rarely comment or post on Google+. There are actually tons of great features on Google+ that are really fun to try out. I’m not even sure if anyone could actually get bored using Google+. But if you ever get bored you could try out these things to keep you busy. First try out the  Explore feature to find hottest trending topics and share something of your own, comment and engage on those discussions. Try out free games on Google+. Start a Hangout. Create a page for your business or your hobby. Search for topics of your interest. Chat directly with people and discuss on trending topics.

You think it’s a deserted place

When you first get on board Google+ it might look like deserted place because your profile is new. But that doesn’t mean the entire social network is a ghost town. Google+ network is actually growing even faster than Facebook, having over 250 million users at the time. Make interesting posts and use Hashtags to let others discover your posts. Search the network, and circle other people with the same interests and make cool comments. That will help you to get discovered and have lots of followers. Also stay active everyday.

You just don’t get it

Google+ works as a platform that connects you with several other Google tools. So, if you’re looking for another social network like Facebook or Twitter, Google+ is not meant for you. It might be a little difficult for you to understand everything at first but if you’re smart enough you can be a Google+ pro in no time. Complete your profile, try new things, chat with friends on Google+ and start a little Hangout with friends. Also be polite and circle people. And remember never to give up, keep trying.
