GoDaddy Servers Hacked, Millions of Websites Goes Down
The popular hosting provider, GoDaddy’s servers became a victim of a giant hacker attack last night. Putting thousands or maybe millions of websites offline for several hours.

According to CNet News, GoDaddy is still working to figure out the cause behind this attack. But the @AnonOpsLegion hacker team has responded to the incident with via Twitter, claiming a member of the team is behind this attack.

Currently everything is back to normal on GoDaddy and all the effected websites are also up and running as usual. But it is still not sure why these hackers chose to attack on GoDaddy servers because GoDaddy wasn’t the main victim of this incident, only the thousands of innocent small businesses took the major damage of this attack.
The hacker behind this attack, @AnonymousOwn3r who claims to be the security leader of the Anonymous group says that he was just testing to see how the cyber security is safe on the GoDaddy website. He also takes responsibly for taking down Facebook and FBI websites several times earlier.
