iPhone 5 Unveiled, Is It Better Than Galaxy S3?
The most anticipated device of the year, iPhone 5 was officially unveiled last night by the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook. Just as everyone expected the event was full of surprises including the announcement of the new iPod touch and iOS 6. But they were nothing compared to the iPhone 5, which we’ve been waiting to see for months.

Despite the long wait, the iPhone 5 turned out to be a big disappointment. Can’t say anything about innovation or the technology because basically the new iPhone 5 looks the same as the previous iPhone’s, except for few system changes inside the device. Screen of the iPhone 5 has gone large and tall at 4-inch and it also packs a powerful A6 processor along with 1GB of RAM. The latest iOS 6 will be powering this device, when it comes out in 21st September. Lets take a look at all the specs we have on this next-gen smartphone.
Specifications -:
- Display - 4-inch (diagonal) Retina display with 1136 x 640 resolution.
- Processor - A6 processor
- RAM - 1GB RAM
- Battery - Talk time: Up to 8 hours on 3G
- Camera - 8-megapixel iSight camera with HD 1080p video recording
- Connectivity - LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi
- Capacity – 16GB – 64GB
- Price – $199 (16GB), $299 (32GB), $399 (64GB)
When compared with Samsung’s Galaxy S3 smartphone, new iPhone 5 can’t even get close in specs and features. Galaxy S3 is way ahead of iPhone 5 with a larger 4.8-inch display with 1,280 x 720 resolution and Quad-core 1.4GHz processor. Samsung Galaxy S3 also supports microUSB and microSD, which are not available on iPhone 5. Although, iPhone 5 wins in the design features with its’ slim 7.6mm body with metal casing against the 8.6mm thick plastic design of the Galaxy S3.

Overall the Samsung Galaxy S3 is a lot better than the new iPhone 5. I think going with the Galaxy S3 is the smart choice if you still can’t decide between these two devices. We can decide which smartphone lasts longer in drop tests very soon.
