Facebook Aims For Your Wallet With Its’ New Gifts Service
Facebook has just introduced a new service called, Facebook Gifts to offer its’ users to send real physical gifts to their friends to celebrate special occasions. So, now whenever you get a reminder of a birthday, engagement or some other special occasion on your Facebook account, you can spend few bucks and send your love with a real gift.
You can choose from hundreds of pricey toys, gadgets and cupcakes available on Facebook Gifts and send one of them to your Facebook friends, attached with a card. Seems like just posting a happy birthday wish on the wall is not going to make anyone happy anymore.
This is Facebook’s first step towards a larger business that involves selling physical goods. It looks like Mark Zuckerberg is aiming to reach another level of social networking by integrating Facebook and online retailing.
Facebook Gifts service will be launched in the US first and then slowly throughout the world.
