While all the Wii gamers were jumping with joy over the new Wii U gaming console, the biggest rival of Nintendo, Sony came up with a new idea to take the attention back to their side by introducing a new PlayStation 3 system with a new and slim design. It wasn’t the best idea, but hey, it’s good enough to keep you busy until the PlayStation 4 release.
So, what’s big difference? How come this so-called ‘Brand New’ re-designed PlayStation 3 could be better than the old PS3? Well, first of all I have to admit that it’s so shiny and I love it. I think the PS3 might have been working out a lot, because it has lost a lot of weight. New PS3 actually reminds me of the old PS2 console, but with a slim, curved design. According to Sony, it’s 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the previous model.
In addition to the Super-Slim design, you will be getting the same old specs on the inside of this new console. Except for the bigger 250 GB Hard Drive, instead of 160 GB. Now I haven’t had the chance to try out the Super-Slim PS3 myself. But most of the analysts and the gamers who’ve played on this console says it’s way better than the previous PS3. CNet also mentioned that the new PS3 ‘shrinks a powerful gaming machine into an even tinier package’.
Well, yeah there’s nothing much more into it other than the cool new design. But hey, it will look good in your room too. And the new Super-Slim PlayStation 3 comes along with Uncharted 3 and Dust 514 only for $270. So, what do you think? Are you gonna get one?
