Not many of have the luxury to sit in-front of a computer to tweet and update Facebook status every 5-minutes. Although, you can’t ignore your followers either. You must always keep them informed and entertained. This is where automation tools comes in handy.

You may have heard about Buffer and Hootsuite, which lets you manage your social network pages and schedule posts to be published automatically. These services are great, but to access their full potential you have pay a price. Otherwise, you’re stuck with a free account that only allows 3 social accounts and 10 updates per day.

Following are a few tools I’ve found very useful when it comes to updating my dozens of Facebook and Twitter pages.

TweetDeck

The official tool for managing multiple Twitter accounts, TweetDeck is not a strange tool for many hard-core Twitter users. With this tool you can manage dozens of accounts in one place and schedule as many posts as you want to keep your followers entertained.

TweetDeck is best for people with a lot of Twitter accounts.

Twibble

If you’re looking to keep your friends and followers well-informed with a stream of valuable content from popular websites, Twibble will definitely come in handy.

Twibble publishes content from RSS feeds to Twitter, automatically according to your preferred timing and quantity, including a nice image acquired from the source.

With this tool, you won’t have to bother creating or scheduling posts manually. What I love the most about this tool is its advanced scheduling customization.

IFTTT

This magical tool is one of my favorites. IFTTT (If This Then That) is a tool that can do wonders. With this hackable you can automate posts to be published on your Twitter, and then use the feed of that Twitter to be published on your Facebook page and use that feed to publish posts to your Google+ page.

Sounds confusing? Give it a try, you’ll see what this tool is truly capable of. The value of this tool can’t be stressed enough.

Only downside to IFTTT is that it only works with one account from each service at a time.

Dlvr.It

This is the best tool you can find for easily auto-scheduling posts for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr and Google+. Dlvr.It allows you to schedule updates every 30-minutes via a RSS Feed. It works the same as Twibble, but across multiple platforms. It can be useful when you want to update your followers automatically with the latest posts published on your blog.

Dlvr.It also allows you to schedule posts manually as well. Free version allows you to manage 3 accounts and add 5 RSS feeds.
