Without wasting any time or money on a formal launch event, Google unveiled some of its most-anticipated devices of the year via a simple blog post. The next-generation Nexus 6 smartphone, Nexus 9 tablet, first Android TV device and Android 5.0 were among these exciting announcements. Before we go into any details about the Nexus 9 tab, lets take a look at the new Nexus smartphone.
Nexus 6
To meet the increasing demand for giant-screened smartphones, Google has joined with Motorola to launch Nexus 6, which features a whopping 5.96-inch 1,440 x 2,560 display, Google’s biggest and the most-expensive Nexus phone yet. In addition, the device packs a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, an Adreno 420 GPU, a 3,220mAh battery, and a 13-megapixel camera on the back with a 2-megapixel camera on front, inside a stylish body that looks quite similar to Moto X.
Nexus 6 runs on Google’s new tasty Android 5.0 Lollipop and will be shippied with Motorola’s Turbo charger, which said to boost the device up to 6 hours of battery life in a charge under 15 minutes. Nexus 6 be available in 32GB and 64GB models with pricing starting at $649.
Nexus 9
HTC has taken charge of making Google Nexus 9 the best Nexus tablet yet. Sporting an 8.9-inch IPS LCD 2048×1536 display, 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 2.3GHz processor, 8MP main camera, 6700 mAh battery, Kepler DX1 GPU, and 1.6MP front camera, the new Nexus 9 seems to have specs that can even compete with 2012 Mac Pro.
Nexus 9 tablet will be available in 16GB and 32GB models with pricing starting at $399. Both Nexus 9 and Nexus 6 will hit stores in November.
