There’s new Pinterest knock off website called WishWall.me, which claims to give people discounts to buy their dream products or to win items for free by wishing on products they like.
Website has been made with a Pinterest knockoff theme. Every user has to login with Facebook and there is no other way. Website says “We use Facebook login because it helps us personalize your experience and allows us to better recommend interesting products for you to wish for.” It has a system where people can put a “Wish” stamp on products and add it to their wish list to get a discount or recommend it to a friend.
It works like this: when a considerable number of people wish for something, website tries to negotiate a deal with the vendor to give it away to all the users who wished for it with a discount. There is also a system that gives you wishes. In the beginning you get 15 wishes and just like always, you have to earn them.
After Googling for a bit I found a post at Reddit from the user Gnork, who says that some of his Etsy products ended up at WishWall and some people have already received 10% discounts to get it but he has never been informed about these discounts. Although it’s possible for the Wish website to buy only few products from vendor without directly contacting.
System of the Wish looks very legit. Although I’ve found many users complaining that this is a scam. Things are still not very clear. I’ve already tried it out myself but didn’t see anything suspicious about it. But I gotta say it does look like a scamming system in so may ways. But I’m not gonna be the judge here, you can check it out if you want. But remember they will be getting your Facebook details and personal info’s, so you’re on your own buddy.
If you have any experience with this website be sure to let us know with a comment.
